get happy, my friends!
for all of our sakes.
(I went to a lecture on Practical Happiness last night. Will tell you about it in the next installment.)
Ah, last weekend we returned to the Eastern Shore. Feared it might not be as great as the first time and it was all that and more. What is it about that place? It’s like a whole different world buffered by a bay and a $12 leap of faith. So peaceful. It just keeps slipping away from Time’s greedy fingers. Mia had a little work related matter then we got to hang out with our dear friends Scott and Michele and their effervescent children again.
What do I have to show you today? Gaze upon a breakfast pita face, recoil in horror at cat stigmata, journey to the Eastern Shore, witness the grand opening of affordable housing at a little place called New Road, meet the incredible Ruth Wise community leader and voice for the people, see Michele’s school in well-behaved action (not just any old school, an Academy it is!), swoon at the cutest tiny little bungalow in the world with the most incredible meditation garden in the back, a street named Coincidence (not shown), two polish gypsies trade stories (not shown), bid farewell to the Shore Made Music Festival, brace yourself for the somber drive home, irrigate your mouth before the amazing breakfast pizza, guffaw at Seinfeld at the Landmark, furrow your brow at a red wine marked white, and be comforted by nature’s bounty at a large game of disc golf in Gilles Park.
163 images, but that’s not cleanly divisible by 3.
so here’s 162 of them:
from the album “get happy!!” by Elvis Costello

(had to do it.)
fyi. am interested in your happiness seminar blog to come forth. made a sarcastic comment today in moruza rehearsal. was something like, “i’m uncomfortable being happy.” sure hope those words don’t resonate too much.
