Ipanema, Yard Sale, Ginger Thai, Oktoberfest, a Mayan Fire Ceremony, Maymont, a “Rekindle” Couple’s Massage at Nesbit, and drinks at deLux – could a weekend be any more awesome? For a guy with absolutely NO money this month I had an incredibly fun time.

I want to write about the Mayan Fire Ceremony, but if I don’t get it down on digital paper right after the event I can’t ride the emotional high and type it out right.

I’ll just cover the basics for the weekend:

At Some Point in the Past

  • The Aquarian Bookshop in Carytown put up a poster or something about a Mayan Fire Ceremony.
  • Mia, on one of her jogs, got lost (? satellite map) and saw the poster, made a remark about it to me at some point, “Hey, we should go see the Mayan Fire Ceremony. I don’t know what it is but it sounds cool.”
  • Mia brings it up 3 or so other times.
(As I’m always in the NOW and terrible with scheduling things or committing to dates and times she has to do this in order for us to do anything, poor dear.)
  • I take it as a sign that we have to do this! Had the feeling. Especially as Mia has led me to so many things that turn out to be a significant part of my path.

Friday

  • *
  • We go to Ipanema (pictures below), see Mia’s friend there, invite her to come along.
  • We find out the Mayan Fire Ceremony costs $45 each, but are not dissuaded.
    (Mia’s friend isn’t coming now.)
  • ^ Considering everything that went on and the individual attention, $45 was cheap.
  • Mia prepares stuff for yard sale into the wee hours of the night Friday. I slumber.

Saturday

  • Jen's Yard Sale
  • We go to the yard sale with Jen on Saturday morning (!^ pics) and I play checkers and dominoes with Shaun, who was selling his Steve Keene the prolific artist art (!^ pics) at $10 per pound, and we watch people of strange stripes come and sort through other people’s rubbish, asking questions that were completely obvious just so that they can interact socially with another human being.
  • Art by the Pound
  • One yard sailor commented, “It’s the people that have money that are suffering in this economy, poor slobs like us didn’t have anything to begin with!”
  • Jen was getting chairs for us and put out some foldable chairs, but needed one more. So she went back inside and got out this dusty as all balls foldable chair in a bag – EXACTLY what I needed for the Mayan Fire Ceremony because I had one but needed one more! She said Mel and Will had left it (how nice!) and I asked if I could borrow it. She said yes.
  • Mia and I had two copies of Pictionary because we moved in together. One was wrapped and one was unwrapped. (I may have stolen it from my ex- because when Mia knocked it over and the cards came out I didn’t recognize that game at all.) She had said, “Should I sell one of the Pictionary games?” and I replied, “Does that mean we’re getting married?” because if we ever did break up there would be the uncomfortable position of having only one Pictionary game to divide. She said, “Oh, I didn’t even think of that!” and said she wouldn’t sell it, but I said we would let fate decide. If someone bought it, then so be it. If not, then that’s ok too.
  • No one bought Pictionary at the yard sale. I wondered if that was a sign that Mia and I were destined to divide our things one day.
  • I expressed interest in the Elvis Costello painting.
(They are all done on wood boards, btw. and mass produced by the artist.)
  • Shaun, who is an artist in his own right (cameratruck.net: next exhibit Oct. 2nd), told me to just take the painting. When I said I couldn’t do that he said, “Why not trade me for Pictionary?”
  • In a stroke the deed was done and might have forced my hand on the whole marriage deal!
  • I acquire the Elvis Costello – This Year’s Model – and The Smiths – The Queen Is Dead – art pieces in exchange for the still plastic wrapped copy of Pictionary that Mia and I had.
  • Elvis Costello, The Smiths
  • It was a sweet sync wink from the universe and I smiled on the inside about it.
  • But then again, Mia and I have both been married before.
  • It’s like putting your tongue on the contacts of a 9-year-old-battery (before I’d typed  -battery that sentence was very disturbing.):
once you’ve done it once, why would you do it again?
(edit: just to make this ^ clear, I had meant to type 9-volt-battery, but then I got distracted by my own silliness. and i probably wasn’t sober.)
  • After the yard sale, Mia and I were going home for a nap, but we went to Carytown’s Plan 9 first to sell her girly CD’s that people didn’t buy at the yard sale. Maybe we could get enough dough for beers at NY Deli?
  • I went to find a Fed Ex box for Mia’s package (pic !^ mopeds), but the store was closed.
  • Mia wants to drop the remaining stuff off behind the Goodwill in Carytown (There’s a goodwill in Carytown? How do they afford the rent? I know! Crazy!) and Ijust happen to catch a picture of this kid mid ollie (that’s a skateboard term for self-propelled-skate-jump) and then I ran over to show him the picture, “Hey! Mid-air!” and he nodded and said, “Thanks” and I couldn’t figure out if he was genuinely pleased or if I was a weird old douche.
  • *
  • We decided to go to Ginger Thai (pic !^) instead of NY Deli and eat and beer instead of just beer.
  • Waving Arms Lucky Cats
  • “You know, Octoberfest is right down the street?” “It is?” “If we nap we won’t have time to go.”
  • We went to Oktoberfest! (pics !^ <–  in programming ! means NOT and ^ caret points UP, so I mean to say: see pictures below.)
  • *
  • Mia thinks she will see her friends Scott and Trish and then we see Scott and Trish.
  • Mia also sees someone else she knows and talks to her whilst I fiddle with the mustard on a corn dog.
  • In the pics below I take two pictures of dogs and then in the pic of the little girl both dogs are in the background with their owners. That was a fun discovery.
  • We go home, only had 10 minutes, no time to nap, then we are OFF to…

The Mayan Fire Ceremony

  • We were supposed to bring a chair, a bag of 20 4″ tapered paraffin candles, and a sweater (thanks Mia!)
  • Had to stop by the office to get the other foldable chair we needed. (Jen lent me Mel and Will’s one. Weren’t you reading that part?)
  • We’re going to be late!
  • Mia has directions. The ceremony is not held at the bookstore like you may have thought.
  • We head into Glen Allen past the Tyson chicken plant.
  • After missing the turn once we reach a cul-de-sac where some kid has his car parked and tells us to drive down the unmarked driveway thing.
  • He tells us, “Don Carlos isn’t here yet, so you aren’t late or anything.” Perfect!
  • We head down the dirt road through the trees and then all of a sudden pop out into a clearing with these two big amazing houses.
  • A lady running the booth (from the bookstore?) tells us to set up our chairs on the periphery of the group. We find a spot, but don’t know what the hell is going on.
  • I then notice a woman in a black mask with a white feather and a woman in a white mask with a black feather, uh-oh, this is totally Eyes Wide Shut! Scary! (Orgy?)
  • Circle Walkers
  • I start taking cellphone pictures and sending them to facebook. People are responding.
  • The women are walking around a stone meditation circle (infinite walk) that seems to be laid out where both houses can use it. (?) I just happened to take pictures when the women were diametrically opposed and I really liked the way the pics came out (pics !^ one / two / three). Especially with the little girl playing there as well.
  • You know, I never saw when they stopped walking and took off that gear? They did the circle for quite a while. Did the ladies rejoin the group afterward? Maybe that was the woman who got caught out eating a sandwich when everyone turned as a group to face west. She looked like a deer in headlights! So funny.
  • I noticed a green cone by one of the vehicles. The man in the blue shirt (he makes me think of money, I don’t know why. Was that his house? I think it was because later he was the only one who seemed concerned about the burning grass) he puts on the cone made of taped construction paper and leads around the little Asian lady (whom we later come to know as the Sunflower Priestess! and she puffs on a trumpet to each of the four winds (N, S, E, W) as he randomly pushes the trumpet’s finger buttons. It was comical and wonderful and really put us at ease and made us feel like: sure this is crazy, but if we can laugh at ourselves then we’ll be all right. (<– note to self: go through the rest of your life feeling that and you’ll have a pretty damn good life.)
  • Cone Man and Sunflower Priestess
  • When you have to pee you go to the big house to pee. Mia notes that the big house is for sale. Another victim of the economy? Nice jacuzzi. Nice bathroom sink. Nice built-in bar. Nice view. It was mainly empty in the big upstairs lounge except for a pool table and a phone booth and a disco ball that looked like it had been stripped. Little mirrors were all over the floor like crime scene evidence and one row of mirrors was rended in a reflection of flesh, torn and hanging down off the ball.
  • Empty Room
  • The man in the red shirt looked strangely familiar to me. If not familiar, then just calming, peaceful, kind. Didn’t make me think of money at all. Then I tell Mia, no, I think he just looks like that guy from Swingers (Vince Vaughn) or something. It later turns out that this man would be the translator for Don Carlos, the Mayan Elder.
  • I just found out that dude is John J. Oliver professional psychic! He had a strong voice and a commanding presence when he relayed the old Mayan’s words, so when he said shit, we listened. There were a few uhh… moments and when that happened people like John would always step forward and make something happen. (Like I did when the fire + people’s voluminous wishes and dreams started burning the grass! Do something people, jeez!)
  • Preparing the Mayan Fire Ceremony
  • I found out about John ^ when I did the search for the Aquarian Bookshop. <- There’s John’s quote right there @ that link. Mia thinks when she was emailed about the event that it was John that sent her the email.
  • Here’s a funny thing, John has a link on his site to a CourtTV Video interview of him. I watched it. Right at the very end (I’m thorough) it says right out of the blue: (8:48) “I do have an ability to see two people that are dating and know how it’s going to work out.” Ha! In light of the stuff I just typed up there ^ about marriage and shit, that was a pretty amusing coincidence, if you actually believe in coincidence that is.
  • Frankly, I find coincidence entirely too far fetched to just be random. Despite what 97.3 FM said in that amazing show that Mia told me to listen to about coincidence and mathematical probabilities … (search) holy shit I just found it! You have to listen to this! So do I! I was in the car and I missed some parts!

    WNYC – Radiolab: Stochasticity
This hour, Radiolab examines Stochasticity, which is just a wonderfully slippery and smarty-pants word for randomness. How big a role does randomness play in our lives? Do we live in a world of magic and meaning or … is it all just chance and happenstance? To tackle this question, we look at the role chance and randomness play in sports, lottery tickets, and even the cells in our own body. Along the way, we talk to a woman suddenly consumed by a frenzied gambling addiction, two friends whose meeting seems purely providential, and some very noisy bacteria.

^ (ah ha!  sorry, i had the wrong link before.)

  • Regarding the interconnectedness of all things ^^, that is exactly my philosophy and resonates through the picture at the top of this blog,Interdependence is a higher value than independence!” with regards to economy and providing education and health care to all citizens of the earth, damn right everything is interconnected! Damn right that people that help each other are really helping themselves and that you can’t escape suffering; if it is happening, it affects you.
    • ^ Just like the letter I sent to Mia’s aunt about the film she loaned us, The Mad Cowboy (youtube), about a cattle farmer turned vegetarian, “Even if I dismissed the chemical argument, and all the processed chemicals we used on animals were pure as the driven snow, I can’t imagine how living tissue, saturated in the hormones produced over a lifetime’s worth of suffering, would affect another being that ingested it. – KindaGamey
  • The car arrives with Don Carlos. Blue shirt man goes to meet them. The Don seems like a cool dude. His helper lady is hot in a Mayan sort of way. (Saw them kiss later. I didn’t know they were doing it at first.) They are both just brimming with energy.
  • Blue shirt man reenacts the green cone and Sunflower Princess N-S-E-W trumpet thing so that they get to see it. Don Carlos got a chuckle out of it I think.
  • Blue shirt man got them all the ingredients, like chocolate chips and some little round grain(?), that they needed, but someone forgot the sugar! Oh no, crisis! (Don’t worry, someone is going to get it.)
  • Ingredients for the Mayan Fire Ceremony
  • Don opens the rum and drinks some to spit in the fire, but I think he thinks it tastes like ass. (They get him a better bottle of rum later when they bring the sugar.)
  • There are to be two fires. One fire distant to the crystal skull platform and one closer to it. The fire is to be transferred from one to the other.
  • Don Carlos (Carlos Barrios) is a Mayan Elder on the Elder Council and he is selling a book: 2012 – The Book of Destiny.
  • The Book of Destiny 2012
  • Don Carlos says the following:
    • This is not a strict function, it’s more like a party. Chill out. Do what you want.
    • We have been through alternating masculine and feminine ages (earth, water, air (spirit), and fire)
:– earth and water being passive and feminine and air and fire being active and masculine.
    • I can’t remember the order, but this age is definitely FIRE (masculine), and the age of the white peoples.
    • The white peoples fucked up and got to get it right.
    • The next age is going to be both male and female and neither: it will be of a cosmic energy.
    • We need to take responsibility.
    • We can’t just dream and think, we need to act to make the world a better place.
    • We are all interconnected.
    • The changes will be happening around 2012, but all the crystal skulls need to be found and reunited – that could take up to 13 years after 2012. 42 of them? There are only something like 26 found at this time.
    • Then the golden age will begin and we will live in harmony with the cosmos and the earth and each other.

^ These prophesies relate to a video I had watched that Smoking Pole from the Alien-Earth forum posted where Sonny Bono Lee Brown talks about the 2012 Hopi Prophesies (youtube) and relates many of the same things about white, black, yellow, and red peoples, and male and female energies converging, and the energies of the ages converging, and talks about the U.N. and how they didn’t allow Native American peoples to be included and that’s how the elders knew that the transition to the golden age would be a hard one.

My destiny will be to find that bookstore (I’ve never been) and buy Don Carlos’ book as soon as I get paid; who knows what odd thing will be happening on the day I enter that place? Or rather who will be happening.

They set up a special symbol using the bowls of ingredients, but I don’t know what that symbol is:

*<- What’s the symbol?

I theorize that it might be the symbols for Earth, Air, Fire, Water, but all put together. The parts are listed under Elements on this Christian no-no diagram.

I asked the Synchromystics, and my friend ViolatoR from the Synchromystic Forum replies the following:

“The circle with equal-armed cross and 4 dots reminds me of the American Indian world, or sacred hoop symbol, but I may be mistaken. In my book on petroglyphs, it states that the symbol of 4 dots with a cross in the middle is a Mayan symbol for a day, and also for the planet Venus. There’s also a warrior picture which has a a Hopi warrior with a circular shield with a cross and 4 dots, the symbol is linked to a warrior ceremony.A picture of just 4 connected dots is used in an earth purifying ceremony.A picture of just 4 dots symbolized a humanoid 4 eyed-insect (The Chemehuevis) who guarded the fourth water of a Gila Monster. I have an American Indian picture on my computer of a circle hoop with a cross and 4 dots inbetween the arms, but the dots are small circles with animal faces in them (a white goat?, yellow bird, black beaver?, and red bear) possibly signifying the four corners of the world, the four races (white/european, black/african, red/american and yellow/asian), the four elements, and maybe even the 4 previous worlds/suns/ages.”

“Reminds me of descriptions of American Indian mandalas which I probably read in Black Elk Speaks…” – ViolatoR

  • I found another video of a fire ceremony and the Mayan Elder in that one places stones on the intersections, not four dots in the quarters.
  • When they were going to light the fire, John Oliver said, “Does anyone have a lighter?” Now Mia and I had just come back from peeing in the big house and we arrived right at the moment we were needed. I was fiddling with the one hitter and lighter in my pocket because I had intended to repack the one hitter and didn’t get a chance as someone else needed to use the restroom. I reached down and produced my lighter. My Leo-themed lighter had died and days before I had bought a pure white one (it was either that or NASCAR or hunting, wish I had had a Mayan Calendar one!) So funny because before we left Mia kept saying to me, “Are you sure you have the lighter? Do you have the lighter?”
  • My flame was transferred from candles, to the first fire, to the second fire. They all ignited their dreams in my flame!
  • ^ The 20 candles we were asked to bring we could toss into the fire one at a time. We were to imbue them with wishes, prayers, dreams, for ourselves and for the planet. Each candle was to have one prayer per. Put it on your head, or your heart, fill it with the prayer, and then toss it in the flame. I posted mine at the very end of this page. Well, the best I can remember anyway.
  • 50 people with candles made for a hell of a fire. People kept tossing them and they’d go spitting off into the grass. The fire was spreading and jumping up with blue flame. Blue shirt man and I were the only ones seemingly concerned about the grass.
  • Leapin Fire Lizards!
  • The largest ancient Crystal Skull MAX was on a platform lit from below and Don Carlos told us that the skull was an ancient high technology (pre-Atlantis and Lemuria and some difficult to pronounce place.) He thanked the owner for bringing it.
  • I had recently seen Lloyd Pye’s test page on ancient megalithic ruins and listened to his lecture at work so the technology of ancients was well soaked in my believability matrix. (Hell, it was already well soaked, I just wanted an excuse to link you to those two things!)
  • They told us at some point that they would place the skull on each of our heads to activate some stuff.
  • The skull’s owner Jo Ann Parks, is the woman that I caught in this picture here with Mia getting a skull job!
  • Mia and Max and Sky Gesture<– lady on the right, Jo Ann Parks, owner of the skull.
  • Mia and Max (Brightened)<– pic brightened, look at the tendrils coming off of his head!
  • ^ I only had one chance to get the picture of Mia with the skull on her head and my camera’s flash would have been so bright I would have blinded Don Carlos and lit the skull like a tower beacon, so I used her iPhone instead. I only took two pictures. One of the pictures happened where I went to push the camera button and then Don Carlos removed one hand to hold the skull in one hand and gesture to the sky with the other. This was the only gesture he did and I caught it on digital. You have no idea how heavy that skull is.
  • This gesture is special to me because I once went to an outdoor seating YES (CTTE) show with my buddy Eric (who I had the YES-related telepathy experience with) and was tripping on mushrooms and the spotlight panned across the audience and everyone was sitting, but I just had to reach up and thrust my hand into the spotlight and Jon Anderson pointed at me, then pointed at the stars, just like the gesture above.
  • When I had the skull placed on my head, I can’t exactly explain what happened. I did feel as if REM (rapid eye movement, not the band) started happening after a bit. I wanted to feel that I was getting something and I think I may have. I tried to do a massive digital download.
  • He then placed the skull chin point into where the bridge of my nose meets my eyes. That was somewhat painful.
  • He then placed the skull chin point into my left breast.
  • I had my hands held behind my back and I remember resisting the thrust of the crystal rather than bending with it. Guess that was the kung fu in me.
  • I don’t think anyone else held their hands behind their back. It might have been bad form?
  • Another lady I witnessed had her eyes roll into her head and had to be sat down, but I didn’t know how much placebo suggestibility went into that display. When researching the bookstore, I think I saw her account on facebook today.
  • It’s very interesting because if you imagine DNA as a technology and the proximity of minds or touch (holding hands has been done in all of the ceremonies I’m about to mention, including the fire ceremony) as a way to transfer information and evolutionary steps, then when I did the holding hands, meditating, CE-5, UFO-calling circle with Dr. Greer, and the holding hands, deep meditations with peoples of the Center of the One Heart then I could have been taking all of that evolutionary knowledge and passing it onto my new group! Or passing the new information back to my past acquaintances.
  • Dr. Greer carries a crystal ball, golf ball sized, in his pocket that he says was given to him by someone from NASA. He says a crystal is a memory matrix and it stores information. He had each of us hold it, put our data into it, and pass it to the next person. He said it was hot when it got back to him.
  • When I connected with the skull, I tried to be a conduit from the knowledge in Dr. Greer’s crystal ball to the Crystal Skull and back again.
  • Now, the folks to get “skulled” were divided into Women and Men over 52 first, then remaining men, then women (waaaaaaaaaay more women than men.) Don Carlos was pretty calm about skull application until he got to the young ladies, then the passion and the zing started to shine! Hmm… bending them backwards by sticking a crystal in their breast till your nethers touch, nice job if you can get it.
  • The Don spoke some English too, so maybe he was talking to people before me and I just didn’t notice? I don’t know. Maybe I was the first. All I know is that I thought I was just going  to get some skull time and walk away, but afterward John Oliver wanders over and Don Carlos says some stuff to him. John walks me out of earshot of anyone else (he did this as a courtesy. Mia said of her experience that she thought he just knew she was hard of hearing) and tells me:
  • “Don Carlos says, ‘Start taking responsibility for your power; stop playing around with it.’
  • Holy shit! I took it very seriously and said, “I understand” before walking away, dumbstruck.
  • After me, I noticed the Don started telling all sorts of people shit after their skullings, and John Oliver would stand around to catch the next translation.
  • Was he talking about me personally or just the same song about everyone taking personal responsibility for the Earth? (But I’ve been singing that song too, the global decentralization of power and responsibility song, so either way that’s meaningful that he said that particular phrase, right? And that I carry so much guilt about enjoying material physical life and not taking my task seriously? Like always escaping reality through being drunk or stoned.)
  • ^ I’ve always felt it was my job to “save the world” and instead have just been a slacker, drinker, smoker, and poker, so it didn’t work out exactly as planned. If I did have the power to be what I’d dreamed, but I never lived up to my potential, well that would not only be tragic, but it would probably be what I fear most.
  • Speaking of saving the world, when it was Mia’s turn she was also given advice from Don Carlos. I walked away so that she would have time tp process the information between hearing the translation from John Oliver and reaching me at the foldable chairs.
  • David Wilcock, prophet (self-proclaimed possible reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?), who has his own crystal skull connections and a crystal skull ad on his page and his own 2012 connections, says he has been having prophetic dreams regarding 2012 and something wonderful happening soon: (Entry: Sept 20, 2009. David Wilcock Sees Unprecedented Positive Events Unfolding Over the Coming Six Months) Not sure why I had to tell you that, but it was on my list of things to say. The reasons for doing things aren’t always immediately obvious, so I just go with it. Whoa, an AC on A-E just pointed me to this David Wilcock/2012 video. Interesting stuff. 34:22-37:31!!
  • I’ll let Mia tell you what she was told, it was equally relevant:
[ this section to be filled in by Mia when she has time to write it out. ]
    • ^ Basically, she was told she would be in a position of leadership to help the young, the elderly, and those without a voice. She started crying immediately and her eyes were filled with tears when she came to me. In her job with affordable housing, providing services for the young (experiential learning programs) and seniors is exactly what she was looking into.
    • ^ As far as the “giving people a voice,” she recently (post-ceremony) found out about a lady in the Eastern shore who says she is giving people a voice who need it: the poor and the people who don’t want to speak because they aren’t educated. This lady comes to her community and says, “Tell me what you want me to tell the council, and I’ll say it.” She’s a fighter. We are going back to the Eastern shore on Friday. We may meet this woman. It all might come together for Mia.
  • After it was all over, we went home and slept like the damned, doing some strange work in the astral plane I’d wager.

Sunday

  • Sunday morning I woke up and made the coffee.
  • I made one grilled english muffin and one grilled toast with peanut butter and jelly.
  • Mia doesn’t eat peanut butter, just jelly. Maybe she doesn’t like it cause of all the sugar?
  • I had bought this Omega-3 enriched natural flax-seed shit, and I thought she’d love that.
  • She liked it!
  • We wanted to go outside, but what to do? We have bocce and ladderball, but do we have time before our massage?
  • Mia has a gift card for a couples massage I gave her ages ago and had scheduled us for today.
  • So we got up and went to Maymont to go see the animals. (!^ pics)
  • There was some kind of invite-only Muslim festival thing off to the side and silk robes and head coverings were everywhere in Maymont.
  • We wandered through the park and looked at the animals.
  • In another wedding reference (we tend to stumble upon weddings in an embarassing way) we popped out on a trail and there was the bride going to get her pictures done in Maymont. Took me a bit to get my camera out and ready for this picture, but I assure you we were face to face when we came around the bend.
  • *
  • Had a blue snow cone and a corn dog (my bad).
  • We got kind of lost and time was running out.
  • Finally had to RUN down a big hill to find our way back so we could get to Nesbit to get the massage.
  • *
  • We went to Nesbit, it was awesome.
  • They put you in a room with a 45 minute timer and a bath and chocolate strawberries and champagne and tell you that you can do ‘whatever you want’ until they knock 45 minutes later for your massage.
  • They provided some awesome zen slippers and terrycloth robe – can I buy those from them?
  • The steam room scared Mia, but I love a steam room.
  • It was crazy though, it was just a shower stall, but it looked infinite because it was so steamy you couldn’t see the walls!
(It reminded me of that ‘white room’ scene in THX 1138.)
  • We had a bath together and fed on chocolate strawberries.
  • Rekindle Room 1
  • I dropped a piece of chocolate in the water and it looked like I had pooped myself.
  • The music was TERRIBLE! All the decor was Eastern, but the music was this gay Western piano cookie-cutter type peaceful music. Like a ‘made for women by women’ softcore porn soundtrack. I couldn’t be serious with music like that. (Maybe that was the point?)
  • I complained about the music later to the woman I wasn’t very keen on at the front desk.
  • She made us go all the way back to our house to print out the gift certificate because we’d forgotten it. Can’t you find that shit on the computer?
  • One of the tracks was good, I recognized it! It was from DEEP BREAKFAST by Ray Lynch: Celestial Soda Pop (<– click!), the album that I had on LP record, and that I put on tape and would listen to in the canoe whilst floating around Salisbury Lake. And that the across the lake neighbor asked me to make her a copy of so she could listen to it when she made home made ice cream. (I just remembered Whitley Strieber on unknowncountry.com uses some deep breakfast to introduce his show.)
  • The massage was great. Mia had told me that they didn’t have any women working that shift and did I mind a man rubbing me up?
  • I talked to my friend Tim who is a masseuse and he said men give better massages because they have more strength, so I was cool with it.
  • There is a very convenient little sheet on the bed.
  • They leave the room and you get under the sheet, they only pull it back when necessary.
  • Mia and I had had the ‘should we wear panties? shouldn’t we wear panties?’ debate and the no-panties option won, thankfully.
  • Rekindle Massage
  • My brain didn’t shut off till the part where he was sticking his fingers around the base of my skull, gave me goosebumps and the brain finally relaxed.
  • Afterward he said my shoulders were tight (computer work! blogging!) and my lower glutes?  (Stephanie from kung fu, said, “you mean the base of your ass? did he rub that a lot for ya?”)
  • Across the street was the bar deLux and Mia said I had to go see the glowing color-changing eyes in the ceiling.
  • deLux Lounge: Up the Stairs
  • We were alone in the bar except for the bartender, which was awesome. I’d hate that place with people in it.
  • I had a dragonberry mojito or something crazy?
  • Then a Widmer Drifter Pale Ale with the side of a boat on the bottle. Quite nice!
  • The bartender said he, “didn’t care for it.” (We didn’t think he cared for us either. Although he was professional and didn’t demonstrate that through deed. We’re paranoid.)
  • Mia had a Pineapple mojito (eh) and a margarita (still not as good as Emilio’s.)
  • Then I think we went home and watched that freaking hilarious episode of the IT Crowd where they went to see “Gay the Musical!” and Roy had to pretend he was disabled because he used the disabled toilet. No, maybe we didn’t do this. Well whenever we did that, it was the hardest I’d laughed in a long time.
  • Then we went to go to the adult store Taboo, but they were closed (stupid Sundays!) and we had to go to Priscilla’s instead.
  • edit: Wait! Before I tell you about the next coincidence, I have to tell you about this one. We were driving up Boulevard to go to Taboo and Mia saw a young girl on her bike with dreadlocks and it was the girl from the Mayan Fire Ceremony! At least she thought so. No, she was sure of it! I immediately pulled around and did a U-Turn and whipped down below Park Street so I could go around the block and meet her head on. As she rode up to me I rolled the window down and she hesitated, probably thinking I would ask her directions. “Mayan Fire Ceremony?” I asked. “Yeah!” she said, and we said “Yeah!” too. Then we drove away without explanation. None needed I guess. What fun.
  • In a really odd coincidence, we went to do a U-Turn and got behind a car with the license plate 1GR8 LVR and I wanted to take a picture for you all so bad, but he sped off too fast. But he also was doing a U-Turn. Mia said, “Omg! I wonder if he’s going to Priscilla’s too!” — in a strange twist of fate, he was. (What, does he only get out that license plate when he goes to the porn store?)
  • - Mia
  • We didn’t buy anything because it all sucked.
  • Then we went home and made sweet crazy monkey love (finally!) and went to sleep.

This is a very long blog entry. I’ll have to finish it at some other point. You might as well go ahead and get married. Your fate is sealed. And I was pretty sure that the dusty bag in the sack was dry rotted. I’m glad to hear that you didn’t fall through or anything.

(i kid… I’d rather not hear. I’ve see your butt crack and just don’t want a mental image of that thing bouncing about in a splashy tub. Damn, I’ve gone and done it.)
