- Please note: bowing to conformist pressures from every other website on the intertube, we now have a Donate button at the top right of the page. Maybe if all of us who need money just keep passing what we have back and forth it will get bigger like a snowball? No, probably not. So why does that work for rich people?
.
- Are you still watching KindaGamey TV? There’s loads of almost-interesting things going on there. Some news, new age, UFO, cartoons, music, whatever. It’s a video log of all the stuff I find on youtube, not my own embarassing and unpolished contributions.
.
Unlike most YouTubers I never bombard you with “Subscribe! Rate! Comment!” in a desperate plea for attention. Jeez, when did people start emulating the worst traits of advertisers?

- So I bought, read, and finished The Mayan Elder Don Carlos’ The Book of Destiny.

.
- It was really good! Don Carlos was the Elder who performed the ritual at the Mayan Fire Ceremony Mia and I went to. I started to tell you about the book and the chart in the back that determines your energetic symbol (there are 20 symbols representing different energies that occur on certain days, the cycle repeats over the entire long count) and how both Mia’s and my own symbols seemed very appropriate, and how mine meant the White Road, or the path (!), or the sacred path which channels energy between temples (ley lines?), temples which are cosmic and earthly energy collectors – just like this dude and this dude said in their lectures I just watched about the pyramids and Egypt — the first lecture even mentions finding Mayan carvings/writing in Egypt and how in Egyptian Maya means “water” and I was putting that together with the ancient Mayan origin story which seems very influenced by cosmic/ET events and something that happened astronomically a long time ago that shifted Earth into a different position in our solar system. The Electric Universe’s Thunderbolts of the Gods certainly agrees with that. And I remembered that on a family vacation to Mexico we once visited Tulum! Only Mayan city built by the sea and possibly was the first; when the stones/sands formed between the mythical Tula “mother’s breast” in the East across the sea (surrounded by water it is said, possibly on another planet or under the sea? atlantis?) and where Tulum was built, the first Maya left their precursors/”grandparents”/(jaguar people?) and made the journey to a new world. Anyway, the post got too long and I had to move all the other stuff to its own post.

This movie is great. Reverand Billy is a hoot. I’ve been thinking differently about how I spend money now. I almost get the same dopamine rush from being thrifty.
You can watch it here: What would Jesus Buy? Don’t worry, it isn’t a bit Jesussy.

- If you’d like another great documentary, try this one:
Abel Raises Cain about a media trickster who in seeking to shame television, manages to change the face of media forever, but not exactly in a good way.

- The Schoolbus for Wandering Exploration of Everything TIGHT!
We saw this one night walking through the fan in Richmond.
I decided to look it up and the web delivered: http://sweetschoolbus.blogspot.com/

- Here’s a picture Sarah took of me at the lecture on Practical Happiness by Dr. Ed Diener.
I asked him a question during the lecture about Sarkozy/GDP/Happiness, but I was trying to ask him about readjusted salaries and the president of Randolph-Macon was getting 6 books signed and had his ear for so long I just walked away. The Pres’ wife tried to let me squeak in to ask, but it was no use.

- Sarah
- My question was this: Since salary seems to depend on how much stress one can endure, can we take different factors of a job (how much of a monetary equivalent to happiness/family time/stress health, etc. a soul-sucking job steals from your life OR how much happiness a low-paying but meaningful job adds value to your meager salary)… you know, if we could see that some jobs that we think are very rewarding might not be once normalized? I thought that would be a powerful message for people that rings practical. Well I sent him an email and he answered! Says it hasn’t been done… yet. (I was pretty sure it hadn’t, just wanted to plant the seed.) He agrees it would be interesting, but sees a sticking point in that some people actually like a little challenge/stressor in their life. Qualifying happiness might also be difficult, but I can already see how the dollar signs translate into numbers with an unhappy/stressed person’s medical bills.
- I once did an internet flash thing for Randolph Macon – animated their logo and made this little thing.
- Forgot to mention that one of Dr. Dieder’s slides had this New Yorker cartoon that I got a chuckle out of:

- I love the internet. Being able to write people and have them write you back. Have you tried this? It’s neat.
.
- Big ups to The Aquarian Bookshop again. I keep finding excuses to go back.
- I’m reading Lisette Larkin’s book now. I want to tell you about it, but I have to finish this bit about the Mayans, then another post with pictures of the Scottish Festival Mia and I went to and tell you about the weird coincidence of her new-found clan, and then I can talk about Lisette. At some point in there I need to finish my essay on ‘Solving the World’ emergent-Utopia hypothesis (decentralization, but helping everyone: sort of the left wing’s global compassion and the right wing’s “mom and pop stores,” “preserving culture,” “smaller government” all put together, with a dash of wikipedia/open software’s “let the public be the content creator” approach. I hinted at it on the post extrapolate it out.) I’ve also got some post draft about What I Would Require a New Unified Theory of Physics to cover – like OBE’s, NDE’s, how gravity can have every object in the universe acting on every other object in the universe without any time lapse between them – almost as if they are all already connected by threads?
.
- Jeez my blogging is getting sloppy. If I wasn’t though, you guys would never get anything! See how little I’ve written lately? That was partially a side-effect of sobriety and Mia being away on business, but also it was because my desire for a more well-crafted blog left me impotent: writerally, not literally. Now that I can allow myself to fuck up again, everything is just fine.
- Have some pictures. You’ve earned it.
