So, this is a bit self-indulgent and crazy, but I needed to get this out. This is not what I’m supposed to be working on. I’m supposed to be editing an essay called Honest As Fuck. (Why is this baby so hard to deliver?)
***
How do I become my potential?
- On 3/1/2010 something got me obsessing about the iChing.
(If you want to read more about how the iChing works, click here.) - I had been working off and on in my notebook on a polarity simulator/visual circle-math flash thing, but I kept getting stuck. So I would use sources like the polarity chapter in The Seven Mysteries of Life (link to the page on sexual polarity, link to entire chapter zip file) and other places to truly delve into what the fundamental rules of universal emotional exchange are so I can make a simulation to use as a frame/metaphor to make a point.

- (I think when we see metaphor act out trigonometrically we can see how stupid our financial and emotional economies are, and that, like everything else, they’re based on the same rules of love and withdrawal as everything else, which is why metaphors work like a champ on all sorts of stuff. Also, it might show that Carl Jung nailed it and the world of the physical is not the actual place where cause and effect happen, it’s just an interpreted three dimensional graph of a subset of the totality of all emotio-vibrational interactions. Or something.)
- Man, I’m a utilitarian, but I wish I hadn’t given away Steven Wolfram’s A New Kind of Science.
- This is my desktop (below) right now that I stole from wiki. I’m just going crazy for circles.

- Walter Russell discusses the nature of circles quite a bit. Both Guy Murchie and Walter Russell are polymaths (many subjects, abilities.) Russell says expansion is a circle and compression waves are square? I mentioned him here in the post about the trip to Afton Mountain. He says there is no positive or negative, only male and female energies. Some of Walter Russell’s work:

- So, back to the sync story, I was watching Loose Change on the NetFlix insta-cue and it showed a plane diagram with seating arrangements that looked similar to the iChing hexagrams. I paused the movie and took a picture of it:

- It turned out not to be translatable to iching, but I still took this as a sign that maybe the iChing could help me understand polarities.
- The iChing is supposed to be discussing the most fundamental forces of ying and yang, creative and destructive.
- Creative (masculine, ying) meant to me: creating more complexity in a system, the subdivision of a cell from one to two, a north south magnet broken into two north south pairs. Destructive (feminine, yang) I thought of as the grouping force, grouping two similar polarities into one. Making a family. Like Guy Murchie says in that link to sexual polarity that you didn’t click on, “The man dominates a woman from without (through physical strength) and the woman dominates a man from within.”
- The tao, an empty circular stage, would be where my polarity drama would rise and play itself out; the tao being the universal flow, the space within which interactions take place.
- Guy Murchie says that space is the relation between two objects and time is the relation of an object to itself.
- I found ichingonline.net and didn’t know how to ask it about how to finish the polarity simulator, so I finally typed in “How do I become my potential?“ hoping that my success with the circle polarity idea thing was implied. This also felt like a good question because I’ve always wanted to save the world.
- (Unfortunately, I’ve come to find out that the desire to save the world is is an ego trip of the highest order. Beware the saviors of worlds.)
- So the website randomizes six tosses of three coins each toss (each coin results in heads/tails – ying or yang) and then it tells you the reading. There can be one of four results for each toss, either a straight up ying or a changing ying or a straight up yang or a changing yang. If it is changing, it means you do the reading as is, then you do another reading based on all the changing bits doing the opposite of what they were doing before.
- I always took the first reading to represent the present and the changing one (if any) to represent the future.
- My results were: Fire over Water, an OPPOSITION that needs to find balance.

- Fire over water CHANGING TO Fire over Heaven: BALANCE, you are an instrument of heaven’s will through modesty, compassion, and economy.

- I was so excited by that reading ^ that I saved those shots in a folder on my desktop, was going to post about it, but never got around to it.
- Fast forward to April 25, 2010. A synchromystic friend on facebook posts the following video: (1/4 Parts)
link - I was procrastinating from writing and saw the video ^ and it had such a delicious old school feel.
- I was wondering why I was still watching by video #3 and then it flashed a symbol up on the screen at 4:12.
- I recognized it immediately as an iChing hexagram, but I didn’t know which one:

- I went to ichingonline.net again and manually selected the coins to reproduce the symbol and see what it was.
- It gave me, once again, Fire over Heaven: BALANCE, you are an instrument of heaven’s will through modesty, compassion, and economy.

- Fire over Heaven CHANGING TO Heaven over Heaven, the ultimate creation force.

TA-DAA! What a great reading. For me, it feels like some kind of validation. Like I don’t have to fret that I’m on the wrong path. I’m sure no one finds this self-indulgent crap interesting except for me. But that’s ok, it was only intended to speak to me. Just like seeing 11:11 when things feel right and not forced. The synchronicities wink the way to the future.
You’ve gotten the sync wink, now what to do with it?
- In that “Rocumentary” the guy was given a giant crystal that was called the key and I synched on that because I’ve been thinking about buying a crystal.
- Guy Murchie in The Seven Mysteries of Life mentions the self-assembling nature of crystals. I myself was thinking about how they might be more “aware of”/”affected by” the world as they let light in like the iris and all of their atoms bask in the wavelength reflections of light around them.
- I also had the Dr. Steven Greer crystal experience where he tells us he got it from a NASA guy and crystals store information. Then he passes the palm sized crystal ball to each of us to hold and add thoughts to or something.
- I also had the MAX the crystal skull experience at the Mayan Fire Ceremony where they put the heavy, ancient, perfectly crafted skull on my head and I experienced REM as I tried to mentally create a bridge between Max and Greer’s crystal. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
- (I also experienced REM when I did that “pipe breathing” meditation. It was cool. Then I found myself waking up on a yoga mat on the floor in front of the computer at 1:30AM with a blanket over me. The lady in that video is a hypnotist, I hope she didn’t give me any terrible subconscious instructions.)
- So, yesterday, I watched a video about Parallel Universes:
link - In the comments of that video ^ some guy named ‘pluto4847′ was going off about being a time traveler in a different plane of existence who got stuck in our world. Turns out he’s been posting those comments all over youtube. Just found out from one comment he’s a native american?
- In searching for him I found this forum post about pluto which says all the effects pluto will have, that the economy will have to change, collective responsibility, mentions 2010.
- Pluto4847 had gone to a crystal shop in Crieff, Scotland, which is only 34 miles from Loch Lomand (map) when all the trouble started. My connection to Loch Lomand is in the post, Clan Rivalry. I mention in that post about the synchronicities between my own clan’s connection to Loch Lomand (Colquhoun) and my girlfriend’s possible Scottish origins (MacFarlane, also around Loch Lomand.) She found a black smooth stone at the Scottish fest where we made the discovery and I found a white smooth stone later. I wanted to go there with her and take the stones with us.

- ^ Which is why I thought it odd when Cenk Uygur of the The Young Turks, a web political show I’ve been watching obsessively, went to Scotland rather recently.
- Cenk also mentioned a ‘spectrum theory’ he had about human sexuality and gays. It was basically that there is a spectrum of male and female in everyone. I would totally agree. I think a lot of other things we think of as digital are actually spectrums as well. And that all totally synchs with my trying to make a spectrum math (the circle thing) and the male and female polarities research.
- Crieff means “among the trees.” (About: Crieff Perthshire.)
- Pluto4847 insists people go there to buy a crystal, but not Rose Quartz.
- Rose Quartz is bad and caused him to flip dimensions. Gotcha!
- I do a Scotland Clan newsletter mailing for my pop and we were going to go to don our kilts and go to Scotland for a meet and greet, but I’m not so sure it will happen this year. (Instead I’m going to Napa on M’s business trip and to see my sister and the Dalai Lama in Iowa.)
- My father has a friend who says when he goes to Scotland it feels so familiar, like he feels like he remembers it from a past life or something. He wasn’t the type to say such things lightly or that even truly believed that things like that were possible.
- And that leads to the next synch for me. Past life. My buddy Chris and I had sat in Salon 310 whilst Mia was getting a tree defoliated. Chris had grabbed a brochure from The Aquarian Bookshop for all the psychics and was trying to pick one. He asked me which one I liked. Most of them seemed like they had shady bios to me, but one of the women did past life regressions and seemed pretty cool.
- In the last part of that movie (foreshadowed earlier) the main character goes to a psychic for a reading.
TO DO LIST
It is now on my to-do list to:
- Get a reading with the past life lady at the Aquarian Bookstore. See what happens.
- Go to my homeland in Scotland eventually and buy a crystal from the shop in Crieff.
Guess that’s it.
Oh, one more.
- Stop procrastinating.
pluto4847 has sent you a message:
A lot of the postings about Pluto apply to me. Pluto controls all time_ watches, calanders, and even time travel That describes me to a ‘T.’ I am also a Capricorn. That’s another coincidence. The Roman god Pluto was the ruler of the underworld, and he was obsessed with crystals and gem stones. That’s me again. And like the planet Pluto, I tend to distance myself. I don’t like being in the light, and I prefer darkness. Moreover, like Pluto I am also in transition and re-birthing phase. Its been a long and tiring journey for me. I’m not offended by your comments, but I hope the woman at the crystal store doesn’t get offended. I doubt she’d even remember me. It was nearly 8 years ago. I’m no longer in Scotland. But in any event, all the best mate.
I wish you well.
